Increase in tariffs was caused by the necessity to realize modernization and renovation tasks of business (productive) assets in the railway sector including the car fleet of JSC “Kaztemirtrans”. The tasks are set pursuant to “The program of transport infrastructure development in the Republic of Kazakhstan in 2010-2014”.

Today in Sochi within the scope of the International railway business-forum «Strategic Partnership 1520» JSC «Kaztemirtrans» (100% subsidiary company of JSC «NC «Kazakhstan temir zholy») and CC «Rusagrotrans» (the largest infrastructural operator in Russia in the sphere of railway grain corps transportation) have signed an agreement concerning a creation of a joint enterprise of grain crops transportation.

According to the data of audit consolidated statement net profit of JSC «Kaztemirtrans» (a 100-percent subsidiary of JSC ‘NC ‘Kazakhstan temir zholy») and its subsidiaries was 13 billion 191 million tenge in 2010. It is in 2,3, times higher than a similar performance in 2009.

«Kazakhstan Temir Zholy Finance BV» (an affiliate company of JSC «NC «Kazakhstan tenir zholy» and JSC «Kaztemirtrans») has paid the first coupon yield of ten-year bonds of 22 251 370 US dollars.

In Petropavlovsk (SKO) on January, 28 there was working visiting meeting with participating of the representatives of «NC «Kazakhstan temir zholy» JSC, «Centre of transport service» JSC (100 percent subsidiary of «Kaztemirtrans» JSC), Petropavlovsk Department of the railway with consignors of Kazakhstan grain in framework of realization of the order of the Government of Republic of Kazakhstan.

«Center of transport service» JSC concluded some contracts for rendering 5,000 hopper-grain carriers with such market players as «Rusagrotrans» CJSC, «Technotrans» LLC, «LP-Trans» LLC for the realization of the governmental order on supplying the export of Kazakhstan grain to the world markets.

The question of increasing of the tariffs on services in granting in rent of the railway rolling-stock was approved within the framework of session of interdepartmental working group on perfection of investment and tariff policy in railway branch, which included the representatives of the Ministry of economy and budget planning of Republic of Kazakhstan, Agency on regulation of natural monopolies, «NC» Kazakhstan temir zholy».

The long-term contract on manufacturing and delivery of 5000 freight cars was signed between »Kaztemirtrans» joint-stock company (which is 100% subsidiary of «NC» Kazakhstan temir zholy» joint-stock company) and »Kazakhstan car-building company» limited liability partnership.

The signing of the memorandum was done within the framework of Doors Open Day organized by «Kaztemirtrans» JSC for the domestic manufacturers (DM) of spare parts and details for railway transportation, large car-building and machine-building factories, and companies carrying out scheduled kinds of repair.

Measures on increase of a share of Kazakhstan component in volume of commodity material values purchased for needs of «Kaztemirtrans» JSC are realized within the framework of the program accepted in the company for 2009–2013 with purposes of reduction of dependence of «Kaztemirtrans» JSC from import of the goods and support domestic commodity producers (DCP).

Following the results of the TQCSI (Total Quality Certification Services International) audit twelve «Kaztemirtrans» JSC regional branch offices were given ISO 9000 Certificates — certificate of compli-ance with Quality Management System international Standards; ISO 14001 Certificates — environmental management; and OHSAS 18001 Certificates — Occupational health and safety protection system.

"KazTemirTrans" JSC put into operation on one of its branches - Kushmurun car-repair depot (Kostanayskaya oblast) the mechanical brakes checking booth.

The main purpose of increase of procurements from domestic producers is to reduce dependence of "Kaztemirtrans" JSC on goods import by meeting the demand of «KTT" JSC for necessary products due to increase of goods, produced by domestic firms.

"Centre of transport services" joint-stock company which is affiliated company of "Kaztemirtrans" joint-stock company and "Kedentransservice" joint-stock company signed the Memorandum of mutual cooperation in sphere of development of the international transportations with development of innovation technologies and realization of the joint projects in the field of railway transportation.

The subject of the Forum which initiator traditionally was an authoritative edition «National Business» became the economy stabilization and after crisis development of the country. The Participants were divided into discussion sections according to interests which were headed by experienced analysts and competent authorities.

"Kaztemirtrans" joint-stock company (an affiliated company of "National Company "Kazakhstan temir zholy" joint-stock company) summarized the previous year results according to industrial parameters.

The new freight cars have been added to the own cargo park of cars of  "Centre of transport services" joint-stock company (CTS). Totally 340 freight cars were purchased including 190 oil tank cars and 150 hopper-cars for transportation of cement.
